There are many ways to get into tech -- from getting a degree to going to a bootcamp to going it alone and learning on your own. I'll talk about how I made the transition from research astronomy to building a new career in technology as a full-stack web developer. I will talk about my experience using Python in both the academic and web contexts and what the transition between them was like. I will also highlight useful resources and for those looking to develop their own career in tech.
